Bio:

Cherish Danforth- Dog Psychology & Training

Training with me requires an open mind, commitment, and a willingness to grow alongside your dog. I believe it is important for pet parents to understand their role in their animal’s life, and I never want to waste your money — or either of our time — if we are not aligned from the very beginning.

My programs are unlike traditional training programs because they focus not only on the dog, but also on educating the human. True transformation happens when we learn what it means to become a calm, confident, balanced pet parent and leader.

As part of this journey, you will be responsible for self-reflection, homework, honesty, vulnerability, consistency, and personal growth. My goal is to help you better understand canine psychology, communication, spirit, and instinct so you can connect with your dog on a deeper level of understanding.

Inspired by Cesar Millan’s philosophy and strengthened through my training with Cesar Millan and the DPC Team in California, my approach focuses on Spirit, Instinct, Heart & Mind — helping humans honor the natural needs of their dogs while building trust, respect, structure, and connection.

When humans and dogs truly understand one another, the result is a healthy, balanced, and beautiful bond that can last a lifetime.

Credentials & Education:

What Do I Require of You as a Pet Parent?

I have always shared a deep connection with animals and nature from the very beginning of my life. My father, who is of Native American descent, taught me from an early age the importance of respecting the land, honoring animals, and understanding the natural balance between humans and nature. Those teachings became the foundation of both my personal life and professional philosophy.

My professional journey began in 2008 as a kennel technician, where I quickly developed a passion for canine care, behavior, and communication. Over the years, I advanced into grooming and management roles, and in 2010 I took over management of Graced Kennel. Since then, I have dedicated my life to continuing education, leadership, and helping dogs and humans build healthier relationships through understanding and trust.

Throughout my career, I have attended numerous seminars, workshops, and educational programs ranging from Defensive Dog Handling to the Dogs Playing for Life Program, continually expanding my knowledge in canine behavior, safety, socialization, and psychology.

In 2020, I became a Certified Canine Trainer through Animal Behavior College. In 2023, I furthered my education by earning my Certified Service Dog Trainer certification. In 2024, I completed my schooling to become a Certified Pet First Aid & CPCR Instructor.

My most recent professional development took place in April and May of 2026, when I trained with Cesar Millan and the DPC Team in California to deepen my understanding of canine psychology, leadership, and the connection between Spirit, Instinct, Heart & Mind.

My training philosophy focuses on dog psychology, balanced human/canine relationships, and educating humans just as much as the dogs themselves. I require my clients to come with an open mind and a willingness to grow, because true transformation happens when humans learn to better understand their role in their dog’s life. My programs are unlike traditional obedience training — they are designed to help pet parents become calm, confident leaders while learning to communicate with their dogs in a way that honors their spirit and instinct.

I believe in structure, trust, respect, patience, and self-awareness. Through self-reflection, consistency, education, and connection, I help humans and canines build healthy, balanced, and beautiful bonds that can last a lifetime.
